The 25kV HVTECK is a CSA armored cable designed for industrial and commercial medium voltage applications. Rated FT4 and suitable for -40°C and Hazardous Locations (HL). It can operate continuously at temperatures up to 105°C normally, 140°C in emergencies, and 250°C during short circuits. Rated for 1000 lbs/FT maximum sidewall pressure. These cables offer resistance to sunlight, moisture, corona, most chemical soils and acids, and are flame retardant.
- Conductor: High-quality compact stranded aluminum (8000 Series) following ASTM B800 and B836 standards
- Conductor Shield: Semi-conductive cross-linked copolymer; Separator used for cables 500 Kcmil and above
- Insulation: 260 Mils No Lead Ethylene Propylene Rubber (NL-EPR) with 100% insulation level
- Insulation Shield: Strippable semi-conducting cross-linked copolymer
- Copper Tape Shield: 5 mil copper tape wrapped helically with 25% overlap
- Filler: Non-hydroscopic, non-wicking fillers in interstices
- Grounding Conductor: Class B compressed stranded bare copper ground per ASTM B3 and B8
- Binder: Polypropylene tape
- Inner Jacket: PVC inner jacket
- Armour: Aluminum Interlocked Armour (AIA)
